Behring Global Education Foundation is a United States-based 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that donates taxidermy to Museums worldwide through our International Museums Partnership.

We promote the conservation and preservation of wildlife through numerous educational programs and by providing top-quality taxidermy specimens for the world’s newest and most exciting Natural History Museums.

    Who are you guys, and why should I donate my taxidermy? 

    Behring Global Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that donates taxidermy to partner museums around the world for educational purposes. Your Tax deductible donations, are saving wildlife, teaching conservation and preserving our future.

    Where will my taxidermy go?

    Your taxidermy could go almost anywhere around the world.  We are working with museums throughout Asia, most are in China along with some new partnerships in the USA and Canada.  We also have our own museum here in the United States, Blackhawk Museum, in Danville, California, across the street from our headquarters.  Come see it!

    Why Chinese Museums?

    China is building some of the largest Museums in the world.  The scale of these Mega-Museums in some of the biggest Chinese cities allow us the opportunity to educate tens of millions of visitors about preservation, conservation and wildlife from all over the world.     Can my collection of trophies stay together?                

    How large and diverse is your collection?   There are spaces available in new Museums that can accommodate hundreds, to more than one thousand specimens.

    Tax Deduction?

    Consult your tax preparer about Charitable Contributions of Taxidermy Property.  Refer to IRS Publication 526.

    What is my taxidermy worth?

    We do not appraise or value taxidermy.  A “qualified appraiser” (IRC Sec. 170(f)(II)(E)(ii) can provide you with a “qualified appraisal” (IRC Sec. 170(F)II(E)(i).

    I want to leave my Trophies to you, so my wife and family do not have to figure out what to do with them when the time comes.

    Through an estate gift to Behring Global Educational Foundation, you can take steps to ensure your trophies are utilized to promote conservation of wildlife and to educate future generations.

    Consult an experienced estate-planning professional to create or modify your will or living trust.  Then contact Behring Global Educational Foundation so that we may acknowledge your gift and make certain that your intentions are understood. 

    General Bequest – A specific dollar amount, a particular asset, or a fixed percentage of the estate left to the cause of your choice.

    Specific Bequests – A particular item or property bequeathed for a designated purpose.

    Residuary Bequests – The residue portion of your assets go to the cause of your choice after other terms of the will have been satisfied.

    Contingency Bequests – A part of your estate left to a selected charity if your named beneficiary does not survive you.

    How do I get my mounts to you?

    We have a receiving warehouse in Danville, CA that can accept donations with approval and an appointment. You can also ship your mounts to our warehouse in Danville, CA. Please contact us at (925) 736-8234 before dropping off or shipping to verify all details of your donation.
